Hi, I’m Trish!

My journey has been an unorthodox one.

My academic quest started in Taji, Iraq, circa 2011. Education became my escape and focus during military deployments. After leaving the Army and welcoming my fourth child, I earned a Culinary Arts diploma in 2017. However, my desire to serve again inspired me to pursue politics. I completed my undergraduate degree in history at Austin Peay State University (APSU) in 2023, while serving as an elected council member in Clarksville, TN.

I consider myself a recovering politician.

I spent my long overdue gap year traveling the country with my family before settling on a homestead in Missouri. Discovering myself wistful for discussion boards and lectures once again I aimed to earn a Master’s in Political Science from American Military University in just nine months. driven by my passion for learning.

I found myself in academia.

Now, I’m focused on exploring opportunities in teaching, writing, and research, particularly in areas of history, politics, culture, and global affairs.
